He was Caden. He wasn't any man I'd met before. He was the only man I'd ever loved.

She owed me nothing, but she could break everything.

“It’s us, Captain. You and me.”

The second full-length novel of this epic saga was an emotional roller-coaster ride of mindf*ckery. The writing was just as fantastic, the story just as heart-wrenching and beautiful, but I did deduct a half-point just for the sheer volume of craziness. At times, it felt overwhelming. Through it all, Greyson was my anchor. She is one of the best heroines I've read in awhile. She is a flawed human, just like the rest of us, but her loyalty and conviction is beyond what I've ever witnessed. She is the definition of a strong female, and she is what keeps me so invested in this story. That's not to say I don't love Caden- just like Greyson, I love him so much it hurts.

If only that were enough.

So. Many. Quotes.

"I was my own person before. I had a name, and I've loved you from the beginning."

"I've always wanted you. That's all there is to it. Past, present, future. It just is. There's no starting point, and there's no end."

In moments like this, when I had to define the indefinable, I was the loneliest man on the planet.

"If you're ever in the darkness again, don't ever doubt that I love you."

"If I could write my love in the sky, it wouldn't be big enough. I'd run out of room. I'd fall out of the air trying to say it all."

“I own your orgasms, your pain, your pleasure, your hunger. I’ve put my fingers on your heart and felt it beat. It’s mine. I own this body. Every inch of it. Every bone. Every organ. Every drop of blood.”

Darkness pressed around me. It wasn’t black. Not the absence of light. Darkness was the absence of anything at all.

The ultimate betrayal is the self against the self.

“You’re the beating heart of my life. You’re the blood in my veins.”

“Greyson. I don’t feel much. But without you, I feel nothing. You’re the only thing keeping me human.”

The sky was the same color no matter who cried under it.

CD Reiss is waging psychological warfare on my mind with this beautifully twisted masterpiece

**Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

“This series grips you by the throat and refuses to let go—and you’ll be begging for more the entire time.” — Sierra Simone, USA Today Bestselling Author

Synopsis
“In Iraq, I promised you a bed of rose petals.” He grabbed my hand under the table, tightening his grip as if he were falling from a precipice and our connection was the only thing saving him from certain death.
“They were beautiful.”
“You smell like apples. Roses were wrong.” There was nothing soft about his tone, but his quiet words were for me alone. “I want everything to be right for you.”
“Caden, look at me.”
I caught his gaze and held it. He was confident. Arrogant. Sure he had a place in the world. And under that was the man who needed me to be that place.
“If I could…” He smiled and shook his head at a silly thought he wanted to dismiss but couldn’t—a contradiction in keeping with the whole man I married. “If I could write my love in the sky, it wouldn’t be big enough. I’d run out of room. I’d fall out of the air trying to say it all.”
He was saying it all.
Every day.
And he was falling out of the sky to do it.

Everyone, do yourself a favour and one-click the Edge series immediately! It's been 2 weeks since I finished it and I am still confused, emotional and addicted all over again. I thought I loved Caden in the first book, but this man tore out a piece of my heart and I'm left with a gaping hole that can't be filled (except with the next book of course) and oh my gosh, don't get me started with Greyson. The amount of love and devotion she has for Caden is unparalleled. She's struggling with so much but through it all she remains committed to their marriage and relationship.

I don't want to give anything away because it would spoil the entire reading experience, so I won't say much more. Just know that these books will take you on one mindfuck of an adventure and you'll be as destroyed as Greyson and Caden are.

To describe this book as intense is an understatement. CD Reiss weaves a twisted tale that will have you questioning everything.  Dark, chaotic, mind-bending, this story will keep readers on the edge of their seats.  There are little things thrown out that leave me wondering if I missed something and how it all fits into Caden and Greyson's story but I can't wait to read more and find out. This series is an emotional rollercoaster,  if I ever seen one. There are so many things left to uncover and I can't wait to find out how the author will reveal it all.

This series is not your typical series. I am hooked!! I want more and NOW!! I am sad and frustrated for Caden/Damon. Don't even get me started on Greyson. She is dealing with an unbelievable amount of stress and her own internal struggle. I am dealing with an unbelievable amount of stress from these books. I can't wait to read what happens next.

Caden and Greyson are finally together after both having military tours. This should be the best time of their lives. Greyson is faced with living day and night with a different man, not the man she expected to come home to, not the man she married. As if they did not have enough problems to deal with, now another wrench has been thrown into the mix. How will Caden deal with this new event? I can't wait to find out.

“If I could write my love in the sky, it wouldn’t be big enough. I’d run out of room. I’d fall out of the air trying to say it all.”
