I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would, for some reason I was a little hesitant about it. Maybe because it has heavy YA vibes and I tend not to jive with a lot of YA themes/topics. BUT I really enjoyed it. And although some of the YA topics that I typically get annoyed by in other books were present in this one, I think they made more sense here AND they were not dwelled on long enough for me to get annoyed.

I really liked the characters, I liked the overall story, I liked the relationship between many of the different characters. And I think it was a fun and inspiring read with a cute romance that wasn't necessarily the main focus of the book but still enjoyable.

I want to be wherever finished copies of this book are.

UPDATE: I got a finished copy of this book and it’s adorable and fun.

I finished this in one day! I loved the fact that it talked about chasing after your dreams, confidence and also doing what makes you happy. I found myself relating to Chloe and Eli a lot during the book, mostly Chloe when she's left in social settings and doesnt know what to do

This was a very cute YA! I expected this to be more ballet-focused than it was - it's definitely more of a coming-of-age novel with a few ballet-focused scenes than a book about ballet. I appreciate it for what it is though, because it's far too rare to find a ballet novel with a Black lead character. I wish it had leaned a bit more into that aspect but I still had fun with this. very sweet!

I didn't like the characters as much as I usually like to for a romcom, but it was a fun story. A teenage girl ends up on a road trip with the last person she'd expect in order to pursue her dream of auditioning for a ballet school.

Such an easy cute read! Especially if you love ballet like I do!

Was slightly young for me but that made it easy to read. Perfect for a 10-16 year old!
