Another fantastical and imaginative entry to the explorers series. I'm so sad to be saying goodbye to this beautiful world!

I loved our two teams coming together again to kick butt! Although I do wish it had been more of a team effort to defeat our antagonist. An antagonist who is complex and thought provoking!

As always, I loved the conservation themes and I hope it inspires kids who read this series to go out and save a little piece of the world.

I've seen a lot of reviews saying this was the worst installment in the series and that it was one convenient escape after another, but I don't think it felt more convenient than other books. I'd say there were more traps so I guess I could see why lucky escapes were more visible.
I liked it, though I'm not a huge fan of Scarlett being able to escape. Even at the end she didn't seem to see the error of her ways, so I have no doubt she's not working at some rescue, but plotting how to steal things once again. It does leave the door open for a continuation, though.
This one's a small complaint, but Ethan seemed particularly complain-y in this one.

This is another fun, imaginative and magical book in the Explorer's Club series. As with every other book in the series, I had a lot of fun reading it.

I will say that I don't think the plot is as strong as the other books in the series; and the novel also didn't feel as quite as immersive to me as those other books (although to be fair that could just have been because I was struggling to focus on reading in general at the time). These criticisms are only in comparison to the other books in the series though, as I still very much enjoyed the book.

Highly recommended.
