This was a fun break from some of the heavier subjects I've been reading. Plus, great discussions with my nieces.

This book was ok. It is one of those books that is basically the same as the movie. I read these books as a kid for my AR points, but now, I am just reading it so that I can complete a book club requirement.
fast-paced

Most enjoyable to read out loud together with a nine-year-old.

This is gonna Be a movie. It looks really dumb , but it looks really hilarious

"I'm sorry, women" - Rodrick Heffley
Still holds up solidly as the first installation of this series.
Don't go in expecting a literary masterpiece, but you can still get a few chuckles returning at an older age.

Although fairly amusing, this isn't really a great book to read with (young) kids. There's questionable ethical messaging and not enough depth to make for an interesting conversation starter. C-, would not read again.

The story is unique, light, and quite entertaining. This is my storybook from my childhood. And then I realized I'd only read a few of the entire series.
