This book started really promising but the kidnapping plot was just too much.
I was really excited for reading about a sassy, strong independent heroine but Frankie just seemed rude and obnoxious to me. Things would have resolved a lot quicker if she was able to have an adult conversation instead of just threatening Aiden with bodily harm.
I was also amazed and disappointed by how easily they skipped over the sexual assault. Come on, grabbing a man by his genitals is just as wrong as doing to a woman. In this book it's brushed off like it's nothing.
I used to love Lucy Score's books but her most recent ones just aren't for me :(

DNF at 40%. I tried so hard to get into this book but I just couldn’t. I was super bummed because most of the reviews talked of how funny and cute it was, but I just found myself cringing the whole time and couldn’t get into the plot. I put this book down a few times and came back to it in hopes it would help, but nope
I am a BIG fan of Lucy Score. However, I am giving this a 3.5 stars. The first part of the book with the wedding read like a circus to me. It was silly and not what I was expecting from this author. The last 1/2 of the book was better.
This book started off SO STRONG. I was giggling and cackling with laughter the entire first half of this book. I love an irreverent FMC who is so bold, loud, and unapologetically herself. I fell in love with her. The sexual tension was incredible and the spice was *chefs kiss*.
But the second we got to the second half of the book, I started to really lose interest and momentum. We lost a lot of our spice and instead had kind of redundant story line of conflict because of family expectations and society pressures, which didn’t even matter to the FMC really but left her an excuse to cause our *surprise surprise* pointless third act breakup. That’s honestly why this would be a 3 star read instead of a 4 star read.
Overall I do appreciate that the characters are older (30s - 40s) but felt like the third act breakup didn’t match with that level of maturity.

Ok, I have mixed feelings here. The plot in this book is weird, jumbled, and also kinda nonexistent. But I still enjoyed it thoroughly.
The fact that the wedding was over by a third of the way through threw me a loop, and I put it down for a while then. Turns out the rest of the book is entertaining though!
Just can't bring myself to give it a higher rating. But would definitely consider reading another of Lucy's romances.
