I took a very long break between volumes 5 &6 and wow am I happy to be back in this world. I love the balance that is struck between the intense ending to volume 5 and the tones of uncertainty throughout volume 6, but the overwhelming sense of calm even through the test the apprentices are given. I like that this series feels like a roller coaster and we are able to see the feelings and motivations of the main players within each volume. I also really enjoyed the expansion of the world in this volume and I’m excited to see where the story goes next!

this volume is such a delight!! The world building is fantastic. And Beldarut just sets the atmosphere with coziness. This manga is all about development in learning and thirst for knowledge. It's wonderful to see their progression and people around them helping though their journey! Ok goodbye cuz I'm 'hungriche' and need some 'Agaffection'.

This series is so beautifully drawn and has a delightful premise. This volume did not pull me in as much as the others though, and the romantic undertones of Quifrey and Coco’s relationship are heightening which is totally gross.
