This series continues to delight! After how dark and intense the last couple of volumes this lighter and fluffier volume was refreshing. It's really great to see the joy of magic in this universe again. I am love Beldaruit's extreme hamminess. He's giving me all the Ayame Sohma flashbacks. I can't wait for the next volume.

Summary:

Coco lives in a world where magic exists. Unfortunately, she's no magician. That's the one thing she's desperately wanted to be ever since she was a little girl. However, she has also been told that magicians are born, not made. Until one day, Coco sees something that changes her life. Now, she's a witch in training.

The trials did not go as planned – to say the least. But now Coco and her fellow apprentices have a second chance. They just have to solve the puzzle. All while keeping quiet about certain details of their most recent misadventure.

Review:

Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 6 was a delight and a half to read. Seeing the underwater Great Hall for the witches was terrific! I wouldn't have guessed this one - though, in hindsight, I suppose it makes sense? Likewise, I enjoyed seeing a bit more of the magical society.

This volume did an excellent job of showing how important it is for witches (young and old) to think outside the box. Coco excels at that since she wasn't raised to look at magic the same way as everyone else.

It needs to be said: Witch Hat Atelier is too good at creating cliffhangers! Every volume ends in one. It drives me crazy, even though I love it. This one is no exception. Thankfully, my library has been an excellent source for this series.
