Si no se conoce mucho el universo de Los Reinos Olvidados, como es mi caso, puede que no se disfrute por completo las historias. Al principio un poco lento, las ultimas tres historias son excelentes a mi gusto!

Whilst I've only read 3 books of the series, this was still an incredibly entertaining short story collection that made me excited to get into the rest of the series to unravel the tales I've yet to experience.

Listened to this on audio and as such I cannot pretend like the incredible cast of narrators didn't play some role in my rating, but even had I read it physically I know this would still have given me a great deal of enjoyment.

I really enjoyed these stories, and look forward to reading more from this author. I'm very late joining the party, I know.... but I plan to make up for it!

I listened to the audiobook done in Audible Studios and I thought the voice acting was quite good. I was particularly impressed with the rendition of young Bruenor by Felicia Day (absolutely lovely) and the voice of David Duchovny that really helps create this amazing atmosphere in the story of Wulfgar's end.

There are some great short stories, however, after reading the Drizzt books you can see some sequences (especially related to Drizzt) that tend to repeat themselves. And I liked the fights, amazingly choreographed, as always; however, when read, they are not as impressive.

I guess I also needed to adapt to the audio format, so some of the stories I had to take again from the start. But all in all, great voices, great content. I guess, the story were not the greatest thing ever, but the voice acting definitely made up for them.

Some of the stories I enjoyed, others kind of did not grab me. The ones I enjoyed would be a 5 star and the others would be a 1 star so I balanced it out to 3 stars.

Got this free through Audible. The voice cast is AMAZING. I hope Audible keeps doing special versions like this with all-star casts.

This collection is based in the Forgotten Realms universe. I haven't read any of the books. Unfortunately, to enjoy these stories, I believe you need to be familiar with them. A couple of them stand alone and you don't feel like you're missing huge chunks of info (Dark Mirror comes to mind.) Overall, it was a lot of talk about places and characters I didn't know nor care about. It reminds me why some people don't like fantasy.

I do feel that I might be a bit unfair with this rating. I think if you are a fan of and familiar with the work, you will love this. I went back and forth and was just going to leave the rating blank but, in the end, I think good short stories should be able to stand on their own without an extensive background.

I got The Legend of Drizzt: The Collected Stories as a free audiobook on Audible. It gathers twelve compelling stories written by R.A. Salvatore, originally published in the Dragon magazine. It is narrated by a bunch of awesome people and is a great way to introduce new readers to the Forgotten Realms and Drizzt Do'Urden. The First Notch narrated by Felicia Day gets you just in the mood of the setting and her voice as the goblins is fun and charming. Dan Harmon’s voice as Drizzt in Dark Mirror is just perfect. Michael Wheaton does a fantastic job narrating and impersonating all the characters in If They Ever Happened Upon My Lair. Bones and Stones, narrated by Al Yankovic is surprisingly critical. There are a few things I didn’t like from this collection, though, I found unpleasing that the voice of the female character from The Downery narrated by Melissa Rauch is identical to her character from The Big Bang Theory. Also, you can hear the discomfort in Ice-T from reading Comrades At Odds and David Duchovny in To Legend He Goes appears to be very bored (or maybe he just speaks that way). But all in all, the audiobook of The Legend of Drizzt is a great book; not only all the stories are attractive and well written, they really are brought to life by the great work of the narrators.

The stories were hit or miss for me. I think the overall average is 2.5 stars, but the story "Dark Mirror" hit 4 stars for me.

Listened to the audio book, over the last month. Heard about this because it is free on Audible. Really amazing cast for this. I haven't read anything of Salvatore books, but this made me interested in them.
