I wasn't sure about this one, TBH because of how I already felt about the MC, but OH did I fall fast for this just as quickly as I did book 1! The Leviathan Fitness books are by far my favorite Monster Romances right now. They short, light-hearded reads that just HIT all the right spots. ;)

No spoilers:

I enjoyed Muscles and Monsters SO MUCH that I HAD to read the next book. And….hot take? I love it even more than the first. These are standalone that can technically be read in any order. BUT I will say I’m glad I read M&M first for more character growth (Reece) and world building. Let me just say something and I need everyone to hear me. PROTECT CYRUS AT ALL COSTS. He is just so cute. Lit-er-al-ly read this book for kraken daddy alone. He’s just so sweet and from the beginning I just wanted him to be happy. I do feel like my love of Abe Sapien in the Hellboy movies probably influenced how I feel about Cy. 👀

This book was a quick read and I have no problem with that. I did not read the first Leviathan Fitness novel, but I didn't feel lost. I understood the world immediately and was ready. I really appreciate the growth both characters had in the short amount of time we knew. I wish the book was a little longer, but I enjoyed the ride nonetheless.

Um……well this was in fact a cute story. I did in fact like all the characters. I am in fact not a fan of monster-human relations. Listen FOR WHAT THIS IS it’s actually good so I have to rate it based on that. So for that it is a 4 star. However, I don’t know if I can get with the program. Maybe a monster with more human parts?/!?/? But yeah I am just not the target audience for these tentacles.

I thought this book was much better than the first one. It felt much more focused and the conflict didn't feel forced. Plus I'm a sucker for grumpyxsunshine. I did feel like parts were rushed and I would have liked for it to dig more into the details but overall this was a fun read.
