I have never felt such an array of emotions in one book. I had to take breaks because I was honestly just emotionally tired lol. I love this conclusion to Grip and Bristol’s story and honestly think this was the perfect way to end this journey.

" "Hope" is the thing with feathers -
that perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all - "
Although this excerpt is from Emily Dickinson, it depicts Still so well. My hope is for the world to stop seeing in color, and to see what is within.
In Still, we get to visit again with Bristol and Grip. They are fighting the odds in an interracial relationship. Although there are points to each upbringing the other does not fully understand, they will not stop fighting for each other.
Kennedy explores the very real, still occurring, racial bias. Bristol and Grip may not see in color, but that does not step their friends, and even family, from expressing their displeasure at their relationship.
Grip has an opportunity to study under an author whose book changed his life. When the author befriends Grip, will Grip be disappointed in his true colors?
Grip and Bristol are hit with the biggest test of all time. Will this be the one thing that tears them apart? Or will they continue to fight for their relationship?
This book hit me like no other book ever has. It's unimaginable that today, in 2017, people are still fighting these issues. But they are, and if anything people are even more vocal in their displeasure than they were in the past. Social media, media in general, allows this ugliness to show it's form daily. Kennedy explores both sides of the racial bias' and this book is so important. I truly hope it gets sent to major book retailers.

Kennedy Ryan, you are one of the VERY few authors to receive two 5 ⭐️ books from me.
This woman sure knows how to write swoony MMCs. Excuse me while I read all her books.

Flow was fantastic, Grip was breathtaking and Still was mesmerizing. Kennedy Ryan is a poet. Her words are absolutely lyrical and filled with truth. Grip and Bristol have been a part of our hearts for a while now and when we asked for more, she delivered. Kennedy gave us more love, more heart, more sexiness, more humor, more family, more friendship and more social injustice. She never hides from the truth. She doesn't sugar coat it. She speaks through Grip. Love sees no color. He loves Bristol because she sees him, not his struggle. Grip and Bristol may be my all-time-favorite couple. They are flawed, but they love so hard. They have proven time and time again that they can get through anything as long as they have each other. It was a long, hard battle to be together, but they make it work every day. Still solidifies their love. Their bond. Their forever. I laughed with Bristol and Grip, I cried with them and I aspire to love as they do. No holds barred. I'll bleed for you. I'll protect you. I'll love you. Still.
It's a trick of the heart, I know, but I can't help but think as long as she looks at me like this, there isn't anything I couldn't survive, that our love is the stuff of legends, rolled in Teflon, disaster-proof.
"Really? You see me naked every day. Don't guys ever mature beyond tenth grade?"
"Chronologically, yes. In dick years, no."
I miss liquor. I mean, liquor has been good to me in hard times. Hello, vodka, my old friend.
"I'll always come for you, Bristol."

WWWOOOOOOWWWWWWW
This book wreaked havoc on my heart and brain.
I will be giving a review on my instagram stories today.
Make sure you are following me @Carla_is_reading. To hear my thoughts.
Be warned its not super spoilery. I def will not ruin the big events. But I will break down setting events and high points that touched me.
But for the people that worry quickly I promise not to spoil THE HUGE thing. Promise.
