The last book ended the couple well, this book is basically just them talking about how much they love each other—I’m bored

I can’t do this anymore!!! Between the blatant fatphobia (“he’s pushing 400lbs there’s no way I have to worry about him stealing my girl”),  Bristol’s constant insecurity about her relationship with Grip (ENTIRELY out of character for her IMO), and Grip’s disgusting White Centrist views on cop culture, this book feels like it was such a reach to write. It feels like  Ms Ryan just had to make up problems for this second book instead of giving us a different couple in the same world to read. Anyways, this is the first Kennedy Ryan I have DNF-ed and I’m hoping it will be the last.

Grip and Bristol deserve the world. After every single thing that they have been through they deserve it all. I thought that they had gone through everything that they were going to when they finally got married, but no, universe said you’re not done yet bitches and threw something huge at them that people never really get over. After the struggles with people accepting their relationship, moving across the country, and being famous thrown in there too? Damn, but to see how strong they both come out at the end, makes all of their struggles worth it because their relationship is stronger, they have a family, and Grip is making a difference where it matters with prison reform, police brutality, and racism. Their story is an incredible one, and there were times throughout this trilogy that I wanted to Google Prodigy, Grip, and the Grays because they felt like real people, a good book will always make you feel something and that’s exactly what Kennedy Ryan did with this trilogy. Talked about the bigger issues that need to be talked about or nothing will be done, those are the things that are important and I’m glad I read this trilogy because even if it is a work of fiction, I can work on how I view the world. Much love to Kennedy
