I thought my heart couldn’t break any more than in book 2.... but then this book happened! There are so many sad moments, but so many sweet moments too!
I loved how everything turned out. And I love that we get a solid conclusion that isn’t cut off too quickly.

I AM SO TIRED OF READING DAUGHTERS FORGIVE THEIR DADS FOR HURTING THEM!!! STOP IT @ YA AUTHORS!! PLS KILL OFF FATHERS WHO BETRAY AND PHYSICALLY MAIM THEIR DAUGHTERS!!!

kestrel’s dad is the worst kind of dad: the kind that picks literally anything else over his own daughter. i would’ve been way more satisfied if kestrel killed him with her own hands bc he LITERALLY GOT HER SENT TO A LABOR CAMP WHERE SHE GOT DRUGGED DAILY AND MUTILATED

although i will say that i was super impressed that every small moment/gesture/daydream from book 2 served a purpose in book 3. the author did a great job and did not waste any words (outside of the war plotline which i just didn’t give a fuck about sry)

anyways happy that arin and kestrel got their happy ending bc they deserve it but i’m really disappointed that book 2 bored me so much that i felt ZERO pain or angst throughout this book, when i really really wanted to feel the anguishhhh

★★★★★ - I'm ending 2020 with an amazing book.

[b:The Winner's Kiss|20443235|The Winner's Kiss (The Winner's Trilogy, #3)|Marie Rutkoski|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1455809407l/20443235._SX50_.jpg|31175868] is the last book of "The Winner's Trilogy" by [a:Marie Rutkoski|1238111|Marie Rutkoski|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1393378883p2/1238111.jpg]. In my opinion, it is also by far the best book of this trilogy. I absolutely loved everything about it, it was so perfect.
I couldn't have dreamt of a more perfect ending for this trilogy: for sure, both romantic and non-romantic people will love it.
I don't even have that much to say because everything was so great. I highly recommend this book to pretty much everyone to be honest. Can't wait to read more of [a:Marie Rutkoski|1238111|Marie Rutkoski|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1393378883p2/1238111.jpg]'s books.

Also, happy new year to everyone !

Really enjoyed this whole series. Was so well written and had a way to keep you engaged. Loved the battle scenes and strategic mind of our heroine! Happy there were no longer any misunderstandings-_-

I really enjoyed this final book!

It was romantic and thrilling.

We still get the development of several relationships as we did in previous books. The unfolding of the story had me eager to get to each chapter.

It was brutal and breathtaking.
The battle scenes are vivid and graphic. Other parts of the story were just heartbreaking. However, the writing was beautiful and so many times I found myself rereading a line just to savor the beauty of a character's words.

I'm satisfied with ending, but wished there was an epilogue.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED this book so hard I can't even...

I felt that Rutkoski did an absolutely fabulous job at wrapping up this amazing and brilliant series. She delivered it all: action intense and non-stop, romance that made me melt, political schemes that had me holding my breath and twists that I just couldn't get enough of. Her writing is beyond magical, pulling me in and making me live her world with her characters. And her characters are each so well developed and so dynamic they jumped off the page, each unique and very real. I fall hard for Kestrel and Arin (and BEYOND happy with their journey, their growth, and where they ended up), both brilliantly written, smart, and also flawed, but that's what made me cherish and love them even more.

All in all, a wonderful, powerful, moving, and brilliant conclusion to a series I will love forever!

For some reason I'd put off reading this for like, a year, when it came out. I think I intended to read it and just never got around to it, then put it off because I wasn't sure I'd remember what had happened in the first two books.

I'm so glad I finally did read it, though, and while for the first few pages I couldn't remember much about the first two bits, as the story went on and Kestrel regained her memory, as did I.

It was such a good book, well written, and the plot (as always) kept me entranced.
