This starts off with the MC being drugged and assaulted, but it is told only in a police officer describing how they found him and his resulting injuries. Basically, his wallet and keys are stolen, which they use to ransack his apartment and empty the accounts they have access to. He goes to stay with this gran in Wales and meets the local handyman. After the first chapter, it’s a sweet story of changing your path after a tragedy. The details about the small town were lovely and I will probably continue on in the series.
