I do not know why I waited so long to read this series. This was such a strong first book, and excitement has not left my body since starting it.
This book for me was a breath of fresh air, so new and unpredictable. Amazing storyline and the incorporation of ancestral and root magic was so well done. There is sort of a love triangle going on but it is very tasteful and on theme.
