A novella with many tropes in such a short time and it was great.
I felt all the emotions in this story and wanted to know what happens next. It can't just end like that! What happened to HEA? Beautifully written.

I received an ARC and I write my review with my own opinion.

Kennedy and Echo, the lead characters, were friends as children, until he joined her bullies. Then his family moved away. Now they’re both in the same college. Kennedy’s a jock in need of tutoring and Echo has been volunteered as his tutor. They start to become closer but, after an intimate interlude, Kennedy leaves in a hurry, telling her this was a mistake…

This short story is female lead POV, well written, and definitely not the end of a romance! I understand it’s an interlude to go in an anthology but the ending leaves me totally unsatisfied as a romance reader because Echo is hurt by Kennedy’s final actions and words; it’s not a neutral or HFN finish.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Caught Between The Stacks is an incredible quick read. This is a beginning of a new series and the start of Kennedy and Echo story. They have known each other since they were kids but had fallen out but now are reunited in college. And just when you think they are on track for something special, their journey takes a twist and leaves us with a WTH cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see more of their story.
