There was a lot that bothered me, like too many Taylor Swift references, and the writing came across like a middle aged woman pretending to be a teenager sometimes. There was also a lot of storylines and characters that were introduced but barely explored. This was my first Lynn Painter book and I'll try one of her adult romances and see how that goes. It was a cute romance overall!

I would’ve ate this up when I was like 13. If you like the kissing booth, to all the boys I’ve loved before, tall girl type movies you’ll probably like this lol

This is the second Lynn Painter book I read and I have to say, I love how her teenager characters are so interesting and have complex personalities and problems so even tho I can't relate with this phase anymore, I can relate to them. The book was cute, funny and got me hooked super fast. There were moments I didn't liked that much
Spoiler specially the "fake-dating" (because I would've rather seen them discover their feelings on their own) and the bet parts (because I hate bet tropes)
but I still enjoyed it very much and would give 4,5 stars and definitely recommend

It took me a little longer to get into compared to Lynn Painter’s other books. But then found myself enthralled with the friendship between Bailey and Charlie, really picturing them and myself in the scenes with them. Overall a fun read!

Okeyyyyy this book was so fun and annoying at the same time. Like some parts I was giggling and kicking my feet and the next I was screaming into my pillow of frustration.

the only thing I would change is the whole situation with the mom. Because why didn’t we get more of that? We just got a “ Bailey I only do what I think would be best for you” but I feel like Bailey didn’t get all her emotions out. Also the ex boyfriend that thing just came and went when it “fit” to put it in same with his ex girlfriend. And the dad thing was so stupid. Kinda unnecessary if they were just gonna fix it with the mom probably just telling him.

But overall it was cute and it was fast paced so 4⭐️ because I had a good time overall ig
