"Shotgun Charlie" by Matthew P. Mayo (a Ralph Compton novel) was a good hunt-'em-down western. Charlie is a big kid: a down-on-his-luck teenager when he gets swept into the nefarious orbit of a blood thirsty killer. To right wrongs, he is forced into a deadly manhunt through a blizzard in the Sierras. Good plot with a handful of really bad'uns and a few good guys, too.
