The villain (Morgana) writing YA books and eating cheeze-its, an Arthur that’s here, queer, and more concerned with chess and pretty girls? Merlin in a space suit? Gwen with a battle axe? Plus an invading fae realm? Oh, and the parents actually exist for the main character?!

This comic is a wild ride from start to finish.

I loved the concepts but the pacing of the book felt way too fast!  Didn't feel like I had enough time to be invested in the characters.

This might be a four or close to a four but I'll think on it and come back.

I really enjoyed this beginning of a reimagining of the Arthurian legend, with its vibrant art style and diverse representation. The start seemed a bit rushed, with a few confusing panels, but by the end of the first issue (this volume compromises 1-5) it had fallen into a rhythm that was very readable and enjoyable.

I went to my local comic shop for the first time, and was excited to buy my first single issues. Since I have been following a lot of my favorites in the trade paperbacks, I am behind on the narrative in the floppies. So, I went looking for a new series. Loved the idea of this as I love strong female protagonists and twists on the Arthurian legend. Was bummed to find out on Google later that the 2 issues I bought are all that will be released until the trade comes out as the rest of the run in single issue and digital was cancelled.
