I LOVED this as an intro to a series
i think its creative, fun, entertaining.. keeps you guessing 'who done it' style on a spy campus
i didn't love that he just kept being okay with 'oh i got attacked again' and didn't do much physical training!?
i liked that when he was with the right crowd aka erica he started putting context together and thinking outside the box/pushing himself so i hope for even more progress in the next book but overall great YA and will def dive into the series more!

Fajne.
Funny! When 12-year-old Ben Ripley is suddenly placed in spy school, he must hide the fact that he has no idea what he's doing. It's a great middle grade story, though I agree with another reviewer that the mild cussing is unnecessary for a kids' book.
loved it!! also a million others of it. not too repetitive of a plot.
Huge Stuart Gibbs fan here. I recommend this book constantly and it wins over my most reluctant readers. They all go on to read the whole series, loving it. I now see why.

Fun adventure spy book that I enjoyed, but I didn't love some of the crassness and how the narrator (a young teen guy) talks about women. I'd recommend for the story, but give a pause for younger readers because of content.
Questionable language - dork, honest to God federal agent, "who gives a fig", *ss
Sexual content - a crush on a girl(s), unnecessarily long explanation of how attractive a girl is,
Brief mention of a class called "seducing your enemies" , "lots of hotness", "tiny red smear of what looks like lipstick on his neck", uses the phrase "caught with their pants down" to describe someone who was unprepared
