Dari blurbnya aku udah suka BANGET. Its the reason why I bought this book on a whim in the first place, selain karena judulnya. It surprised me ketika tau ternyata bukunya banyak menjabarkan tentang astrologi... Ada reviewer goodreads yang bilang narasinya agak kepanjangan, tapi karena personally aku interest banget sama astrologi, I didnt mind at all! Malah jadi pengen ngulik natal chart sendiri... I feel so emotionally invested in this book karena selain ini bukunya tipeku banget (magical realism coffee shop au with customers that seems to be unrelated tapi ternyata related? That's MY kind of shit) tapi juga karena ini buku terjemahan pertama yang kubaca setelah sekian lama. Not saying terjemahannya bagus buanget (I am in no way qualified enough to judge) tapi aku nyaman bacanya and it reminds me that its so easy to read in your mother tongue sometimes.... And that I really wanna start again. I wanna absorb more things in my mother's language. Bukunya enak dibaca pas santai, and its better if you a) did not expect it to be the best, and/or b) interested sama astrologi.

I will especially recommend this to readers of Funiculi Funicula/Before the Coffee Gets Cold, karena setipe. Bedanya ini twistnya ada di astrologi aja. I'm so happy I read this.

aku kurang mendalami astronomi jadi aga bingung ini teori jam ini beneran ada kah atau buatan dari penulis? Tapi beneran atau enggaknya teori astronomi ini, penjelasan dasarnya kurang menurutku. Jd aku sebgai pembaca tuh bingung, ga masuk ke otak, dan jatohnya malah jadi ngebosenin. terlepas teori astronomi yang emang rumit itu, plot story nya juga kurang ngalir menurutku. penulis ingin memberikan benang merah ke tokoh tokohnya tapi kurang halus jd kurang nyaman dibaca.

 Meinung:
"Das Mondscheincafe" von Mai Mochizuki hat mich zutiefst berührt und verzaubert. Diese ruhige und herzerwärmende Lektüre ist wie ein warmes Licht in der Dunkelheit - perfekt für gemütliche Abende zum Entspannen. Die einfühlsame Geschichte hat mich von Anfang bis Ende fasziniert und ich konnte mich vollkommen in die Welt der Charaktere hineinversetzen. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Art, wie die Lebensweisheiten und Botschaften des Buches durch die charmanten Katzen im Café vermittelt wurden. Ihre Weisheit und ihr unterhaltsames Auftreten haben die Geschichte noch lebendiger gemacht.

Die Beschreibungen der Speisen und Getränke im Café haben mich zusätzlich regelrecht hungrig gemacht. Ich wünschte, ich könnte mich auch mal in dieses Café setzen & einen einzigartig leckeren Mitternachtssnack genießen während ich mit Katzen über das Leben philosophiere.

Fazit:
Insgesamt war "Das Mondscheincafe" eine Geschichte, die mich auf vielfältige Weise berührt hat und die ich daher weiterempfehlen kann. Sie hat mich nicht nur unterhalten, sondern auch zum Nachdenken angeregt.

Yk overall this was a very meh experience
I really liked the premise of the magical cat cafe and it helping people (which, -the cats, feels like a common premise for japanese books at this point).
I didn't know this book would focus on astrology as much as it did, which was interesting but there was also a little too much explaining at some points.
However, I didn't like how the answers to their problems were just told to the main characters. Mostly just by the cats looking at their birth diagram.
Maybe I'm just not spiritual enough for this book.
