I really enjoy Sandy's adventures. The only problem with the books is in the formatting. The transitions are not clearly marked. Some asterix would be helpful.

This book continues right on from 23 years on Fire... And the action is unstoppable. Interesting new focus on the new family Kresnov has adopted, but it's always fascinating and realistic. Never cringe-worthy. New characters are introduced, some old characters die (heroically). By the end of the book I'm exhausted from I think the most non-stop action yet, always impressive! Looking forward to some more of The old characters in the next (final?) book though.

Not as good as the previous Cassandra Kresnov novel, but 5 books in & I am still loving this series.

And if Joel Shepherd were to continue with further installments, I'd be more than happy to jump back in; especially if the next book were to head in the direction hinted at in this chapter.

A mix of kick-ass military SF, epic space opera and an intelligent political techno-thriller with a bit of cyberpunk woven through. It has a fully realized universe, incredible fast paced action sequences, slower well thought through socio-political passages and a lot of grin inducing futuristic tech blowing stuff up. But the best part is our synthetic protagonist Commander Cassandra 'Sandy' Kresnov who kicks ass in more ways than one.
I love this series.
