I liked this book more than the first, I liked the way Lara Jean is choosing herself as a priority, even when it's hard for her feelings to do so. I was rooting for Peter on the first book, he seemed like a nice enough guy, but in this book I felt disappointed, how he cannot handle and finish his situation with Genevieve, and how he lies to Lara Jean, I loved the new addition of Josh and completely wanted him to be with Lara Jean. Hoping on the next book we get the closure and love that our girl deserves 🩷

I love the honesty and the feeling Han always brings into her books of the pain and doubled nostalgia that comes with growing up. I also love the realistic, flawed characters. I enjoyed this book, though not as much as her others. still cute, and I love the sisterly bonds in this series. Peter is not someone I'd probably ever date-- just seems too... macho? Gender normative? I dunno. Still, a nice read-- but if you're choosing one of her books to start with, go for Shug or Summer I Turned Pretty.

4.5

As always, Jenny Han sucks me in with her fantastic writing.

100% recomendado

This was better than I expected!

I like how for once there's a "good girl" as the main character - and she doesn't think he has to be "cool". I really enjoyed spending time with her and her family and learn more about them.

The love story was just the right balance of unsteady and yet the first big love to be a believeable and realistic teen relationship. The main character is a typical teen, so while she doesn't always really know exactly what she wants, and sometimes small things can blow up, she does have clear boundaries.

The book handles the topics of friendship, love, sex and actively deciding what to agree to and where to stop very well. It didn't feel at all like a forced moral, and yet it has a clear message that I found important and done excpetionally well.

I'd recommend it for ages 14 and up.
