It's gonna take some time to process this one. Phew. It was so good. I wished it had 20 more chapters. I was drawn in straight from the beginning and it held my attention so well. 5 stars for sure.

I was slightly confused in the beginning with the point of view but once I got past that I started really liking the book.
This book being in the point of view or manuscript of the missing person Cassie is brilliant.
This fiction book is written the form of an autobiography which makes you wonder want other perspectives this story has that differs.
Recounting her life seeing faeries, bad childhood memories, and other seeing the damage but not the source. makes crazy doubt with the narrator and surprise with clam that her brother could see things too and killed the dad for it.

I finished it, but wasn’t at all what I expected. The synopsis on the back mentions nothing about fairies or anything relating to that, which definitely isn’t a genre I’m into. Wouldn’t read it again.

Wooooow! This book has blown my mind, seriously. Disturbing and twisted. I couldn't stop reading. After finishing it I needed some time to process and I kept thinking over and over about ... everything!

It took me by surprise, because at first I thought the story was more like a thriller, but no, not at all.

This is definitely the most dark-disturbing-twisted book I've read this 2019. I loved it!
I won't try to explain the plot, because I don't want to give any spoilers. I can only say that if you enjoyed reading Gillian Flynn's novels, you should definitely give it a try.

Thanks to Macmillan-Tor/Forge and NetGalley for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
