As a therapist I absolutely loved this! I appreciate Yalom's contributions to the field and personal confidence.
Yalom is of course a respected psychotherapist with many, many years of experience in the field compared me, which is perhaps why this work is rather dated at this point. I appreciated helpful reminders, pieces of advice and examples throughout, though there were times I found myself disagreeing and even cringing at his choices. It just goes to show, there is no correct way to do therapy!

An excellent work which I would recommend to any therapist whether in practice or in training. Very clear, concise, honest, funny in places and definitely inspirational for me.

I don’t rate books I read for school. But also wow this man thinks everyone is attracted to him.
