The story didn't get better, but I was still invested in the characters. I wonder if I would have liked it more had I read the actual book.

“Yellows not so bad after all…”
I don’t typically enjoy sequels especially about relationships. I find them mundane. However, I found myself needing to know more about how these two grew as individuals and as a romantic couple. I was not disappointed.

Satisfying enough ending to the duology but couldn't really hold my interest. The conflicts all felt the same as in the first book and it got repetitive at parts.
Also – a bit nitpicky but Vivian decides to go for a voluntary C-section (which is a totally valid decision for any woman to make) and throughout the whole book this is portrayed as the wrong choice and there are loads of things stated about the risks of natural vs. C-section birth that are just untrue. Disappointed!

Graphic: Sexual content and Pregnancy
Minor: Toxic friendship and Abortion
