Satisfying enough ending to the duology but couldn't really hold my interest. The conflicts all felt the same as in the first book and it got repetitive at parts.
Also – a bit nitpicky but Vivian decides to go for a voluntary C-section (which is a totally valid decision for any woman to make) and throughout the whole book this is portrayed as the wrong choice and there are loads of things stated about the risks of natural vs. C-section birth that are just untrue. Disappointed!
