Fun and sweet portal fantasy with a sci-fi twist. And how cute is the lil’ wizard! I would love to read a whole graphic novel about the little guy. F.A.Q. chapters were hilarious! Good fun. And the ebook is gorgeous.

Second read and I loved it even more. It's a fun read, full of great jokes and tender moments a long the way. You just can't take it too seriously and you'll love it too.

I loved this book. I feel emotional thinking about how much I loved this book. The main characters were all so fun and well-rounded. I loved the concept of figuring out who the narrator is along with him and how that makes the character’s arc so much more gratifying. The narration is lighthearted but with moments of real depth and sadness sprinkled in (my one complaint might be that it was a little too bleak at times). The magic system and worldbuilding in this book feel so unique and fun. The plot was engaging, and the payoff at the end was so good. The found-family and romantic aspects were also so cute and fit well into the story. Such a good read.
