More interesting and involved story than your average historical romance. I quite enjoyed it.

This was well-written, with emotional backstories from both mcs, I just found myself a little...bored? The conflict at the end was also annoying. JUST COMMUNICATE!

Hurried start, dragged in the middle but sort of pulled through towards the end.

3.5 stars. It dragged a little for me near the middle, but the parts that I appreciated about Milan's writing (the lack of an a-hole alpha duke main character, the effort to make it less head-desk-bangingly repetitive, employing some humor) in her first book I read (the 3rd in this series) are still in play.

This was truly amazing. Everything I want in a historical romance. It almost made me cry in a few places!

This totally lived up to the hype. I loved it so much. Even the epilogue had me teary.
