Kiwi Rules bring us Karen, Hope's little sister from the Not Quite a Billionaire series. Now Karen is 30, and after life deals her a series of blows, Hemi sends her off to New Zealand to check on a business he is considering for purchase. There she meets Jax, a soldier returning home who is dealing with his own wounds. Their relationship is sweet and goes beyond the surface. The beauty of a Rosalind James book is that I am guaranteed to be transported to a whole other country, one where the oceans are blue and the residents have accents. An RJames book may be the closest I'll ever get to New Zealand, but reading her novels makes me feel like I am already there.

This is a spinoff of her other series, and I kept racking my brain, trying (and failing) to remember the sister and the brother-in-law characters. That aside, it's a fun, good story...although the sex scenes bogged it down for me.
