FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH NET GALLEY. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

Having missed the previous book in the series, I wasn't sure what to expect with this one. It was slightly similar to [b:Misadventures on the Night Shift|34356927|Misadventures on the Night Shift (Misadventures, #6)|Lauren Rowe|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1487822715s/34356927.jpg|55434397], but it had a more erotic twist. Something just felt off to me about this book though.

June and Kase were interesting enough main characters and their history was very detailed, but I really didn't buy June's virginal status. She came across as too knowledgeable about intimacy to me. I did like Kase, though I felt that he kept playing around with D/s and not actually going one way or the other with it.

The book was well paced and interesting, despite my problems with the main characters. I especially liked the extended epilogue of the book, as we got to see what happened after the romance part of the story. I'm eager to read the next books in the series!

2.5 stars.

I got thos book in a goodie bag at a signing a couple of years ago and finally pulled it out to read.

It really didn't do much for me. Tbe virginity for business deal, no matter what Kase's intentions were felt skeezy.

Both Kase and June were one dimentional and there was little character development, and the story was one note, and I endedup skimming the second half of the book.

I see thst I am in the minority about this book, so it is what a lot of people want to read

This book gave me a lot of feelings. A LOT. I’m really glad I read it before Misadventures of a City Girl because I liked it TONS better and I probably wouldn’t of kept reading on if I had read that one first, honestly.

I notice a bit of a trend with Meredith Wild where we just kind of jump right into to the “romance.” We get right into the down and dirty is what I’m saying. The romance and the character development come along later. All of her books, the ones I have read at least, all contain the same kind of BDSM a little darker twisty love.

It was very predictable. Obviously they’re going to end up together. Obviously. But I guessed the plot twist, so I was a little dissapointed with that. That doesn’t make bad, I guess I should be upset with myself for being so aware? I don’t know.

It was a very cute story, it definitely touches your heart especially with the old love. If you’re going to try out the Misadventures series I think you should definitely start with this one.

June Bell is a sweet country girl with big ambitions for her family hotel. She doesn't take alot of  personal time and has no need to since she gave her heart away a long time ago to a boy off limits.

Kase McCaster left town four years ago to escape his past. He has returned to Falls Edge to focus on his future and move on with his life.

June and her father want to buy the McCaster farm to expand thier hotel. Kase wants June's heart more than the land so he makes a deal she can't refuse. Niether of them knew that secrets from the past would be uncovered and hearts would so quickly be tested.

Misadventures of a Virgin was a fantastic book. I loved every word of it and couldn't put it down. June and Kase had chemistry that was off the charts!! There was no lack of phenominal sex scenes and you had a great story to go along with them. I cared about the characters and was anxious to see them work out thier problems to reach thier happily ever after. I have read a few books from the Misadventures series and this has definatly taken the spot as my favorite!

"I'm already so addicted to you. You know that, right?"

This was a hot fun read.

What I loved:

- possessive aggressive H - Kase (22) - he’s been carrying a torch for the h but was trying to stay away - he’s been a manwhore while away

- sweet likable h - June (20) - she’s been crazy about Kase but didn’t think he was into her - she’s a virgin

- this book has loads of smexxy times with just a little kink - spanking, bdsm (very) lite, etc

- lite to medium angst

- there is a second relatively short separation, but the H is the one who ends that separation. He comes after the h.

I love Meredith Wild's Hacker series, so I figured I would also love this book... yet I didn't.

This book is your typical post-YA novel. Teenagers who were once together find some feelings for each other years later... Typical trope! If you're looking for an exciting, over the top plot in regards to this typical trope, you won't find it here. It was very typical, but it was very sexy. Meredith Wild is great at writing sex scenes. She's especially good with writing a story for a dominant male and a submissive female.

The book is hot, so if you want some crazy, hot sexy time scenes then you've got it! Meredith Wild is over the top with her descriptions, and it makes so some really great scenes. She's got a five out of five that aspect of the book. Unfortunately, the typical plot and slow build left me feeling a little short. It just felt to typical for me, and I'm almost disappointed in myself for not enjoying it! I love Meredith's writing, but it just didn't sit well (for me, personally).

My favourite part of this whole novel was Meredith's choice in wording. The metaphors she uses to describe pain and desire are fantastic! She's definitely talented!

You'd enjoy this book if you enjoy erotica, second chance romances, a splash of BDSM or romance.

Overall, it was definitely a hot read! But personally, it fell flat and felt very average in the land of Meredith Wild romances. Although, I would be interested in reading the rest of the series if they come across my path.

Three out of five stars.
