A Very Good Read

I've never heard of this book before I found it in the digital library, but what a book it turned out to be. I'm surprised I've never heard of it, and that it has never come up as a recommended book given my previous reads and comments. But I'm grateful I found it and recommend it to others.

There were twists in the story that I did not expect, but they were oh so believable. Sometimes, truths were right there, but I did not see them, until the author lays them out. This speaks to its brilliance, and I'm still stunned that Olga has never come across my radar till now.

i think i need to spend three months thinking about this story before i have cohesive thoughts on it but i love bernard schlink’s genius mind. this was beautiful.
