I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. It's a very quick read. most likely I'm going to read the rest of the selection series. Also I have to admit that Maxon is such a sweetheart.

this is my third time reading the selection and once again it has swept me up in its magical world !!!! this series is literally like a drug, it is so addictive and once you pick it up you won't be able to stop. i started this book 4 hours ago and have already finished it and am about to re-read the second book and i am just so incredibly happy and excited to get to experience this world once again <333

fueron altamente entretenidos y realmente me los devore. llenos de contenido para q no t aburras y ademas muy fast-paced todos. si bien tuvo sus momentos altos y sus bajos en gral los tres libros me gustaron y los recomiendo mayormente si estas en un bloqueo lector o queres una lectura ligera, divertida, facil d leer y personajes q t llegan al corazon. bien ahi

Overall, this was an enjoyable YA dystopian read. It does end in a bit of a cliffhanger. If I would have read this when it came out, I would have devoured it. It definitely fits my days of reading other dystopian books, like the Hunger Games and Divergent (although this is less dark to me). I like the world building, and find it funny how some of its history can still be connected to problems we face today. I like America. She's has complicated feelings for the Selection and Maxon. I also like how she cares for her family and maids. I also like Maxon; he's kind and seems like he wants to create some change in his world. There is a bit of a love triangle going on between some of our main characters, but I'm not surprised. Again, love triangles were popular when this came out. I will read the next one at some point.
