This was a pretty basic YA dystopian, but I thought it was a good time. It’s basically The Bachelor set in a dystopian world. It’s also kind of giving Cinderella vibes. The FMC is named “America” and is as annoying as her name is, but I’m hooked into the story and I want to find out what happens. There’s also a love triangle and I have some theories about it and would love to see if I’m right. Definitely reading the next book!

The premise was interesting and I may read any sequels (if they get published) just to find out what the rebels are after. Overall this book felt like a reality-show junkie finished reading "The Hunger Games" and decided to regurgitate it into their own idealized version because "The Hunger Games" was too stark.
