Knitting and fantasy? Yes please!

Fun patterns and sweet quick stories! Sadly I don't have time to knit anymore. But I love looking at the finished knits!

A fantastic book combining two of my favourite things - fairytales/fantasy and craft.
(Suppose I ought to learn to knit at some point so I can actually make some of the beautiful things in this book...)

Classic faerie tales with knitting woven into every story. Simple, but it did provide something to listen to . . . While I crocheted!

Blarg... Seriously boring poorly written stories and patterns you could get for free on ravelry. I know this sounds harsh.

Beautiful book. Enjoyed the artful layout and Alice Hoffman’s words. Not my type of style for knitwear designs.

I thought this was just going to be a book of patterns.
What a wonderful surprise to find it is a book of fairy tale-type stories AND patterns

The author of the stories and the designer of the patterns are cousins. How fortuitous for us that such a talented family exists.

My favorite story was "Brokenhearted". The actions taken by the carpenter to help the brokenhearted woman was very touching.

Each story, no more than two pages, showed real skill in the art of the short story.

The patterns are wonderful as well!

The book overall has a beautiful look to it.

Loved this and I don’t even knit hah I can only imagine how awesome it would be to listen along while following/knitting the patterns!
I can always using longer books when they’re great short magical stories like this
