Absolutely loved it. Riri is right up there with Miles Morales. You will be begging for more of a backstory if you have read Ironman Invincible yet. This girl is so refreshing. If you love Ms. Marvel you should definitely try Ironheart. Ages 13 and up.

I absolutely freaked when I found out that Ironheart was getting her own series. I know, I know, technically she already had her own series during Invincible Iron Man. But that wasn’t quite the same thing. We all knew that what was happening there wouldn’t be permanent – for crying out loud the series was still named Iron Man! Now we know that Riri is here to stay, and I couldn’t be happier.
Since her character has already been established they had an easier time with the first issue. They didn’t have to spend time telling us her backstory, or her superhero origin or anything like that. Instead we were able to jump right into the conflicts she facing, from the personal level to the supervillain level. All things considered it was a great start for her. I can’t wait to read more of it.

Oh this was such a great pick for the Wakanda Forever challenge of #blackathon! I wanted to shy away from reading Black Panther-like graphic novels for this challenge because that would have been too obvious. However, when I found this comic I was just draw to it because...black, FEMALE, Ironman-esque character that my son will enjoy....I could not leave it in the shop. Now that I have read it I am SOOOO happy and can't wait to read book #2!! Riri Williams aka Ironheart is in her first SOLO story and she handled herself. She is a strong, smart, sassy character that every young black girl can be proud to read about and strive to emulate.

This book was read for #blackathon challenge Wakanda Forever and #romancegenreathon - African American MCs and Authors.

This specific video review will be included in February 2019 wrap-up.

You can't judge a book by its cover. Riri has a normal length neck in this series.

Very good, in the spirit and sooo glad she has her own series!

Okoye and Silhouette show up for this issue. I thought the conversation about everyone's family situations was weird, but it was quickly revealed why they were talking about it lol. I'm enjoying how all these characters bounce off of each other.

This is the first comic I’ve ever read and damn what a way to welcome me into the genre. This is the first part of Riri’s epic story. Fans of iron man’s snark will instantly fall in love with Riri. I’m 100% hooked and will continue to follow Riri’s story in her other installments.

Iron heart

Eve L Wing makes her Marvel debut with the solo adventures of Riri Williams aka IronHeart. When we catch up with Riri she is in her lab at MIT coming up with some pretty cool gadgets before an old foe shows up to ruin the party.

I really enjoyed getting to know IronHeart and watching her kick butt in her new suit. She’s smart, funny, & she loves Star Trek—so basically, she’s perfect!
