Another lightning fast Alex Cross novel. There were some things here that aren't normally present in the Cross books, the killer's motivations and the connection to The Viet Nam War. I really enjoyed the Viet Nam connection but the killers' bloodthirsty ways were didn't seem to match their motives. The book is saccharine sweet when it comes to the family scenes not nothing unusual from Patterson. Overall, a decent read that serves its purpose.
wow this was great. one of the best in the alex cross series. As soon as I thought i knew who the killer was it proved me wrong. There were times in the book that i thought i would start to cry but then was smiling in triumph as James Patterson did it again with the emotional attachment that he is so go at. A must read for any suspense/mystery lover.

This felt way too similar to his most recent book I read...
I found this uninteresting and bland.
Best part was the romantic jazz music that plays during the sex scenes. I was rolling while I listened to those scenes

Not my usual type of story but it was fast-paced, interesting and entertaining. I have read several books by James Patterson over many years and I have a few books left of his on my bookshelf that I'd like to finish up this year. This was my first one. The writing style of very good and I really like that the chapters are short. Always my preference!
I'm just waiting on goodreads to add another "shelf." The "this book was awful and I couldn't bring myself to finish it" shelf.
Woof.
This book was a big fat NOPE.
My one line review: Mr. Patterson, please keep writing with other people - other authors who care less about describing the buildings and more about the plot. Oh, and while you're at it...your romance scenes are straight out of a Calgon ad - do more learning. Yikes.
