I read this book for the first time several years ago, following the recommendation of a friend. I clearly remember that I didn't like the story, the plot and the (stupid) characters.
After many years, I tried again to read the first book of Oksa Pollock (which is apparently the "French Harry Potter").
Again, the story is unbearable, the plot is uninteresting, and the characters are even more stupid than what I remember!
Maybe this book is made for younger readers...
The writing isn't bad, and I can understand that a lot of readers love Oksa Pollock (but that's not my case).

Even though it took me a while to read this book -due to schoolwork and other books I was reading in the meantime- I absolutely loved this book and am definitely planning to continue on with this series! You got to know the characters, who are all very diverse, really good. Therefore, I easily connected with them and the story. Although I didn’t like all of the humour I really did like the action-packed scenes and creativity that was used. The set-up of this story was really well done, you learned a lot about their world and the story made me guess a lot. Luckily most of those questions were being answered throughout the book, which made it exciting and interesting. I’m hoping the second book will be as good!
