The fourth and final installment of the Red Queen series concludes the story with a war and a battle that comes down to Reds and Silvers.

The story felt lukewarm, with a much-anticipated bang that never came, alas. It was, in other words, anticlimactic. In addition, the final chapters were rushed and everything was half resolved, in a most convenient manner.

Moreover, the romance was forced, mainly because of the circumstances that weren't smooth enough to let the love story bloom.

The multiple POV were also a nice idea, but were promised a smooth sail for all the plotlines, but didn't deliver in the end.

Finally, the series as a whole was interesting and a fun ride.

What an explosive finale. Epic battles and a degree of inevitability brings the series to a close. You are left with a feeling there could be more yet, maybe one day.

I started off finding this series really interesting. As the books went on, I honestly just found it hard to care. It started to feel repetitive and unnecessarily drawn out. When I finally got to the conclusion of this book, I just thought “of course it ends like that.” Very disappointing for how much people seem to be talking about these books.

It left more to be desired, like i wanted to see Norta become that free republic, like monfort, but that would not be nearly as exciting as the previous books, so i get Victoria's reasoninig there. I was hooked to this book almost the intire time, and with maven dead, (finally) the series comes to a suitable end.
