The ending is a bit too normative cheerful for my liking. But by Jove this woman can write - and great sense of humour. Not her best in my opinion - but the insight into the stalker’s psyche are spot on.

A central aspect of LM books is her exploration of different perceptions between story characters. Sometimes there's a bit of a twist and sometimes there isn't. This book is one of the isn'ts. The story isn't particularly exciting or gripping, so for those expecting it to be that will of course be disappointed. While not one of my favorite books of hers, I enjoyed the themes of the story, which mainly revolved around accepting change, forgiveness, and ultimately moving on and being able to start fresh after hitting "rock bottom". The book provides a good reminder that no one is infallible and everyone has strengths and weaknesses which has impacted their life trajectory and story.

I really enjoyed this one, but not as much as her previous books. I think the ending was a little too pat for my liking, which is part of what knocked down the rating a bit. Still, it is pretty amazing how, even as I was thinking about how crazy and messed up the stalker character was, I also couldn't help but feel some sympathy for her. I think that's part of why I enjoy Moriarty's writing so much. Some of her characters are not at all likable, but it's interesting to me how she explores the darker side of the mundane. After all, I think most of us have plenty of thoughts in our heads that we would really prefer no one know about.

I’ve loved most of Liane’s books, but this one took me forever to get through. It was really long and uneventful for me. Definitely my least favorite of her books!

This was an easy read and just what I needed.
I was expecting more of a twist at the end!
