Rec from Doc V.

Absolutely worth the time and mental work, especially as we got into the third section. I definitely didn't retain all the why of the science, but I feel like I'm still holding on to the fundamentals... and they are extraordinary. This is one I'd like to come back to, and I'd love to read others' thoughts about the ways it connects to art and activism and mutual care and future dreaming.

I enjoyed the tone of this a lot, but i found the content very difficult to understand. I think thats probably because it generally is. The author had a lot of enthusiasm which i liked, and I liked the stream of consciousness style. But a tricky read, and I found myself hoping I'd get to the end soon at points!

A clear and interesting introduction to the ideas embedded in what the word quantum brings. I love the first half of the book. The second half - deals more with philosophical and linguistic aspects, is less intriguing to me just because of my personal preferences. Regardless, the first half already introduces me and helps me to rethink a lot of the ongoing forever existent objective assumptions of the world.

Carlo Rovelli is a poet of physics. Simplicity at its rawest and most beautiful.
