Well once again the Bergman Siblings and their awesome shenanigans made me unbelievably happy. I adored seeing Viggo (who is all of us in Romancelandia), seeing all the weddings of Ryder/ Willa and Ren/ Frankie, seeing a smidge of Axel and Rooney, learning more about Ziggy and meeting the newest tinies! Also - time jump?!

But none of that overshadowed the adorable and emotional romance between Ollie and Gavin though. Their mutual competency kink and unwanted attraction - not to mention banter - were fun to be a part of. I also loved Gavin being an older character who was at a crossroads in his life and career. (This isn’t a terribly common sports story trope but I love to see it!) I also loved the common place discussion of therapy and high functioning anxiety! My notes that came up are wildly erratic. I do wish I saw more of Gavin in the end - of him coming to terms with his emotional connection with Ollie specifically.

Honestly, I loved this. Yes, it's basically Ted Lasso fanfic and you know what? I'm not mad at that. I'm going to read the rest of them and love them just as much. I also really loved how diverse Liese made the characters--while the two main characters and the immediate family are white, some of the characters are Autistic, some have chronic conditions or disabilities, there's a character who uses they/them, like, great.
