I love that we got a queer Bergman brother! Unfortunately, I couldn't fully get into their relationship dynamic and timeline in the same way that I could the other book in this series. I did appreciate the lens of the main character being in chronic pain though since it was the first portrayal of that narrative that I have read in a contemporary romance novel!

3.5* (rounded up)
Chloe Liese knows what she's doing. This book has so many tropes, but done in the best way possible. I'm talking slow burn, age-gap, sports romance, one bed trope, grumpy x sunshine, mutual pining, enemies to lovers - and every single one was executed wonderfully.
I'm not the greatest fan of sports romance or age-gap romances, but that's a personal preference; this book is the exception though!
I also loved the anxiety and queer representation within this book - Oliver's struggles with anxiety felt very similar to my own. This story had a great mixture of emotional, comedic, and romantic moments that meshed well together. And of course, there was lots of great representation seen in the side characters.
Overall, this was a great adult queer romance and I highly recommend it!

I couldn’t get into this. Maybe if I followed the series I wouldn’t find it cringy.
3.5 ⭐️ but I still loved it! It didn’t make me cry but it still captivated me!!
I love Ted Lasso and absolutely adore Roy Kent, so Gavin and Oliver’s story had my heart from the beginning

Another Bergman brother book that I could not put down. I love it when I accidentally end up reading a book in one sitting. This was a great grumpy/sunshine romance that had me laughing the whole way through. I loved watching Gavin & Ollie realize they didn’t have to be enemies. It was a fun, mostly lighthearted romance and I can’t wait to continue reading the rest of the series.
This was perfect. What a perfect story of love and accepting it, even when you don’t think you deserve it.
