I saw the original Chicago production of this back in 1998, and then the SF production a couple of years later - and in these perilous times it seemed appropriate as something light and frothy to take one's mind off our troubles. Although a few of the jokes are dated, it holds up remarkably well, with some really hysterical bits - and even a Joe Biden joke that probably plays even BETTER today! It would be great if someone would mount (pardon the expression) a revival of this ... once theatres are back in operation.
