Intriguing with a very unique story layout. Keigo Higashino is amazing at writing characters and making them grow in just a few chapters. I highly recommend this book.

Detective Kyoichiro Kaga (Book 2 in the series) of the Tokyo Police Department is transferred to a new precinct in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo. He is assigned to investigate the murder of a woman. As he investigates, he discovers a greater number of potential suspects, and it seems nearly all the people living and working in the business district of Nihonbashi have a motive for the murder.

bagus banget! awalnya sempat bingung untuk mengorelasikan antara satu cerita dengan cerita lainnya (toko ke toko lain), awalnya saya pikir semuanya tergabung untuk memecahkan misteri pembunuhan, tapi ternyata tidak. alasan dibalik cerita itu adalah untuk menunjukkan kebenaran yang mungkin dianggap orang lain remeh namun sebenarnya sangat membantu dan bermakna. tapi melalui cerita toko di awal menuntun ke penemuan mantan suami dan anak dari korban. lalu setelahnya barulah terjawab siapa pelakunya. rupanya alasannya pun sangat tragis, dia berhutang puluhan juta ke perusahaan untuk menuruti kemauan anaknya. karena tidak bisa bayar dan takut ketahuan, cara terakhir adalah membunuhnya. sangat klise sebenarnya tapi pemikiran untuk membunuh pakai gasing benar-benar dia persiapkan secara matang meskipun secara tiba-tiba. secara keseluruhan, keren dan cukup plot twist!
