Zoe and Miles! What a dark, delicious story! Sophie Lark is bringing this series to the forefront. I loved the parents of these characters, but these books are even better! Zoe and her sister Kat have gone to Kingmakers. Zoe, under the watchful eye of her betrothed, crazy fiancé, Rocky Romero, has tortured her throughout her life and the promise of marriage just heightens the danger she will be in under his wing. Miles watches, and steps up to protect the beautiful woman, and now has promised not only his heart to her, but is going to do what he needs to break the marriage contract. Danger is lurking, but even if he can break the arrangement, will Rocky accept it? What a story! The love story in itself is enough to make my heart sing, and the twist enough to make my heart cringe! The best of both worlds and an amazing listen.
Jeffrey Holz, Maeve York and Lily Drake bring this story to life. These three understand their characters, and tune into their personalities creating Miles, Zoe and Kat. I loved their portrayal, the emotions, conflicts, love and suspense they brought and enjoyed this listen.
