4 stars but maybe 3.5??
Pretty entertaining overall, though the writing is a bit stilted. My biggest issue is definitely with the characters. While I can see the reason for each and every character, they just weren't fleshed out enough for me to care for them or to even remember who the specific character was when reading their POV.
Overall though this was pretty entertaining and gave me major fall/CLUE vibes. Just make sure you look up a character map before you begin.

I really enjoyed this book! A lovey little murder mystery. There are lots of different characters but it wasn’t overwhelming and I found it was easy to remember who was who (which doesn’t always happen)! HOWEVER, I have so many unanswered questions, I won’t list them because, well, spoilers... but I was shocked when I got to the acknowledgements, I NEED ANSWERS. Worth the read tho, for sure.
This was a fun whodunnit! I enjoyed the ride even though I knew who the murderer was. I'd like to read some more of Shari Lapena's work. Still searching for my perfect murder mystery though!
The best of shari lapena that I have read! This plot was more fleshed out and the characters had actual character in this one! All of her others I have read were rushed and so poorly written. I do feel like this one could have gone more in depth and had potential to be a more complex whodunnit however much more enjoyable than her others!
