Romance novel with adult scenes. Not suitable for young readers but decent for adults who like romance.

Loved West a lot in book one where he stole the show to his own brother several times. And any other little apparitions he made in the next books, especially in Garrett's book. But sadly he was far less interesting in his own book. I had high expectations but end up disappointed. He was boring, talking about cows for the thousand time. And I'm a farmer's daughter so it says a lot.

I loved him in all the other books. And I though in his book we'll go further and learn more about who is behind the façade. But apparently nothing much. Like what's happening through the book. In the end, the only thing stopping our heroes to get their HEA was West, which was so frustrating. Also his little encounter with a bull and a nail compare to a train derailment, building collapsing, government conspiracy and attempted assassinations was not very exciting... lol

I loved Phoebe and her kids, and her relationship with her dad. Sebastian the duke and grand dad is way more interesting than his younger self. Except the part where the author present him as so fit (jumping over barriers with ease at 50-60 something) and beautiful that all the ladies are still crazy about him. Can we please present aging people that can still be interesting without being sex symbols.

But it was also very nice to hear about Evie's friends and their husband, and to meet Westcliff again. And to get introduce to one of his & Lilian kids, with Merritt (especially knowing she's the heroine of the last book. Apparently she'll have to end up a widow like her friend Phoebe, as she's here happily married.).

Finally also loved how West build a fatherly relationship with Phoebe kids so easily. It was so adorable and reminded me of the book Forever Your Rogue by Erin Langston.

But I have to admit that reading that many LK one after an other make me notice some writing habits like the way she describes her heroes (for example with the "sardonic smile") which gets very boring and repetitive at some point.
