I begrudgingly finished this book. The basic message is: You are creating your life through your thoughts and feelings using the power of love - give positivity and you receive positivity but give negativity to receive negativity. It's very repetitive, which made it boring. And the science is inaccurate and I feel like Rhonda Byrne has some funny ideas. Though, I didn't expect much because I didn't enjoy The Secret much.
It’s based on the law of attraction and claims that positive thinking can create life-changing results such as increased wealth, health, and happiness. I agree with parts of it and believe thinking positively is a start and can help to create life-changing results but on it’s own, it’s not enough.
One section mentions that if you want the perfect partner, you must imagine that the person is truly with you right now; instead of sleeping in the middle of your bed, sleep on one side because your partner is on the other side. I think that’s a bit over the top. Visualisation is important but it’s nothing without hard work and learning from your experiences.

I enjoyed this, but it was pretty much the same as the first one, The Secret. It seems like a really great way to live a more positive life though!

I liked this one because it tells you how to obtain [b:The Secret|52529|The Secret (The Secret, #1)|Rhonda Byrne|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1391995828s/52529.jpg|2001660]. When I read the Secret a few weeks ago it didn't go into a lot details or steps to do. This book did and it was terrific. A lot of good principles can be taken from this book.
I wish there was a quarter of a star rating, as that is what this book deserves, if even that. I felt my IQ dropping the more I read, especially since the writing style is on par with that of a third grader. Kudos to those who make it through this book with their brain cells still intact.
If "The Secret" was the Law of Attraction then "The Power" is love in its purest form.
Nothing different from The Secret (or any of the hundreds of similar books before it), but this one had more practical tips than The Secret did. Lots of stuff was repeated several times though. I felt like the book could have been 1/3 the length if all the repeats were cut.
Would recommend this book over The Secret.
