One of the most enlightening books I've read on relationships. Having gone through loss early in life it has answered a lot of questions that I've had floating around my head for the last decade or so. It has shifted my attitude and made me more focused on showing compassion to both others and myself.
This is the type of book you read and recommend immediately to friends and family. It is beautifully written and full of wisdom.

This is now the book I’ll recommend to everyone around me. The way Natasha writes is BEAUTIFUL and honestly so touching and relatable. It’s a book you can reread at any stages of your life because I feel like you’ll be able to learn and takeaway some important life lessons from it. From love, to relationships and friendships, to loss and grief, and even the smallest things in life.

“What do you wish you’d known about love?”
I should have read this book earlier.

Conversations on Love is a lovely (pun intended) book that lays out some universal truths about the highs and lows of relationships of all kinds. It's right there on the cover: parents, friends, lovers, siblings, and even strangers. The most moving and profound portions of this book were those focused on grief and loss. Early on, Lunn reveals that she had a devastating miscarriage. This revelation shapes the personal narrative of the book, as well as the questions Lunn asks of interviewees. From that, I learned a lot about giving and receiving love during a grieving process.

The reason that Conversations on Love was ultimately a three-star read for me is twofold: (1) the book felt longer than necessary and (2) there was a large amount of repetition among the answers in general. Some of the repetitiveness does reveal a sort of beautiful common truth to what is discussed. However, the sameness more often than not gave me deja vu and made me want to start skimming. Ultimately, I think that the length of this work could have been condensed.

This book gives a broad insight into human connection and the variety of love. I liked the many voices that spoke in agreement but also shed light on aspects that might seem contradictory but make up the complex nature of love. At times, some passages felt rather trivial (which can be hard to avoid when talking about life lessons), but especially the second and third part of the book spoke to me. This read definitely made me more susceptible to/aware of the love around (an important reminder every now and then).
