Simply stunning; I am moved. Natasha Lunn is truly a writer to be admired. I feel her writing in my soul. I feel understood witnessing her words. I learned in this book, that that in and of itself is a type of love connection. Love is boundless, and so beautiful, and so painful, and this book truly captures every facet of all that experiencing love can do to us. Never is any one experience the same, but we are unified by them nonetheless. I think this is a book everyone can learn from, and should be on some required reading lists. There's the added bonus that if you enjoy a particular interview, that person likely has their own book and/or other medium that delves further into their worlds. Incredible!

One of the most enlightening books I've read on relationships. Having gone through loss early in life it has answered a lot of questions that I've had floating around my head for the last decade or so. It has shifted my attitude and made me more focused on showing compassion to both others and myself.
This is the type of book you read and recommend immediately to friends and family. It is beautifully written and full of wisdom.

Conversations on Love is a lovely (pun intended) book that lays out some universal truths about the highs and lows of relationships of all kinds. It's right there on the cover: parents, friends, lovers, siblings, and even strangers. The most moving and profound portions of this book were those focused on grief and loss. Early on, Lunn reveals that she had a devastating miscarriage. This revelation shapes the personal narrative of the book, as well as the questions Lunn asks of interviewees. From that, I learned a lot about giving and receiving love during a grieving process.

The reason that Conversations on Love was ultimately a three-star read for me is twofold: (1) the book felt longer than necessary and (2) there was a large amount of repetition among the answers in general. Some of the repetitiveness does reveal a sort of beautiful common truth to what is discussed. However, the sameness more often than not gave me deja vu and made me want to start skimming. Ultimately, I think that the length of this work could have been condensed.

I can tell this is one of those books I'll return to throughout my life. But not for the reasons I expected. I thought it would be the book's perspectives on romantic relationships that I'd need the most, and while they were definitely powerful, it was actually the book's focus on grief, the cost of love, that impacted me the most. I know I'll need this when a loved one passes, or a friendship ends, or even when my life is ending.

This is a really interesting, informative book about different perspectives on love. Lots of different types of love are explored: platonic friendship, romance, parental, and even love after death.

This book is a combination of the author's self-reflection and interviews with other people. I found it interesting to read about other people's perspectives on love through the interviews. I wish there was less self-reflection from the author, but that's just me being picky. Overall it's a great book and an important addition to literature about love!
